Car
It fascinates me how many toys get left behind. It makes me think of a child who has lost their toy and can't find it. I remember as a kid losing something like my favorite toy car and being devastated. I wonder how much sadness is caused by toys being left behind.

Dumpster
Many times when people move out, they end up throwing away most of their stuff. Most of it won't fit in the dumpster. Here are some chairs. The Green one was gone by the time I passed by again.
Some fun noodles, a bed, and some other miscellaneous trash left by the dumpster. Yes, that's a no dumping sign right above the "dumped" trash.

Mess
A lady had moved out of this unit, but I didn't check it out after moving her out of our records. I rented the same unit to another lady and I went to go clean it out at the end of the day. It was still a big mess (I took this picture after about 10 minutes of cleaning). Most of the time people get things cleaned out well enough.

Fishing
I was cleaning out a 5x5 unit and found these in the unit.
They were in pretty perfect condition, too bad I don't fish...

Futon and Junk
I had to clean out this unit and I figured that I could pretty much handle it.
Some drawers, nothing interesting yet.
I keep looking at this futon, thinking to myself, "Yeah, I can handle this by myself,"
This is a basket of old candy and over-the-counter drugs.
A somewhat "cute" devil doll...
A golf putter.
A VHS copy of Blue Collar Comedy Tour.
In the corner I saw all of these frames. Turns out that they were all mirrors and a stop sign.
After cleaning out the rest of the unit, the futon and the water cooler looked a lot heavier than they did before. I decided to wait until later when I could get my manager to help me. A few weeks later he asked me to clean out the rest of the stuff. I went ahead and tried to take care of it by myself again. It wasn't too bad, the mattress was the heaviest part.

Mysterious Bag
While I was doing one of my morning drive-throughs, I found this bag sitting on the side of one of the units. What was inside?
Adult diapers... I don't know what I expected...
Empty Units
Often when I talk to people, they expect me to find a lot of crazy things in units all the time. But, most of the time they're completely empty like this one. All that was in here was dust; it's still a pain to clean out, though.
Hidden in the corner was a bottle of beer. This is actually a very common thing. Apparently, one of the most prominent places to drink is in a storage facility. Each morning there are bottles and cans laying on the ground.

Couches
My boss helped somebody move and brought some couches with him to work.
They were in pretty decent condition.
But, I didn't have any room for them, so they went to the dump.

Jacket
So, this guy comes in to rent a unit and he says that he's going to stay for a few months. A week later he moves out and all that was left was this jacket.
